2023 GOAL: WE ARE REDUCING WASTE

In 2023, with the objective of reducing our waste, we started a partnership with EcoTouch, a company who produce an environmentally friendly material, which is derived from textile waste that is made into new products such as soundproof insulation, roof insulator, and recycled yarns.

We manage, separate, and collect the leftover fabrics from our production site, to then be weighed and shipped to EcoTouch’s recycling facility. There, this fabric waste is turned into EcoTouch’s eco-friendly products, each one contributing to the reduction of waste and the conservation of valuable resources.

For the month of June and July* we saved with our partner 1.052,85 kg (1 ton) of fabrics from being thrown away to the landfill, which can be made again into new materials and products.

100 % of our cutting pieces leftovers to be upcycled and recycled

*June and July are the start of production of R24 and S24, hence the large numbers.

We are proud Members of Better Cotton

Poupette St Barth is committed to sourcing 100% of our cotton as Better Cotton by 2024.

Better Cotton is sourced via a chain of custody model called mass balance. This means that Better Cotton is not physically traceable to end products, however, Better Cotton Farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we 'source'.
